Bob Corbett has been the principal Marine Surveyor for Plant Hope Adjusters of Atlantic Canada since 2006. A graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship, Bob is an Accredited Marine Surveyor (AMS®) of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS). In the Americas, SAMS is recognized as one of the foremost professional marine surveying organizations with some of the most stringent membership requirements in the industry. This is substantially driven by its association with the Marine Insurance industry. To maintain the AMS® accreditation, one must meet or exceed ongoing educational credits. Bob is a member of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC). He holds Standards, Electrical and Diesel ABYC accreditation and is an ABYC Master Marine Technician. He is a member of the International Association of Marine Investigators (IAMI) whose primary function is focused on boat arson and marine insurance fraud. Bob has successfully completed a program in Boat Fire Investigation sponsored by the International Association of Arson Investigators which focused on marine insurance fraud. He is a Director of the Atlantic Marine Trades Association and is one of four BoatUS-approved Marine Surveyors in Canada. Bob's extensive experience and training in the marine and insurance industries provides another dimension to the extensive insurance claim services offer by Plant Hope. |
