Bob Corbett is a Surveyor Associate (SA) of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS); is a member of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and is standards accredited by ABYC, being listed in the National Registry of ABYC accreditation; is a member of the International Association of Marine Investigators whose primary function is focused on boat arson and marine insurance fraud; has successfully completed a program of professional development in Boat Fire Investigation focusing on marine insurance fraud sponsored by the International Association of Arson Investigators; is a member of the Atlantic Marine Trades Association. He is a graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship.
	His experience with insurance claims is extensive. From 1965 to 1979 he was associated with the firm of J Ross Corbett, Appraisers and Valuators. During that period he was involved with the appraising and settling of a significant number of claims for losses related to real property, appearing in court on several occasions as an expert witness.
He has several decades of marine experience, in both power and sail, including multiple trans-Atlantic and Caribbean passages aboard sailing vessels, both as Captain and Mate.
Bob's extensive experience and training in the marine and insurance industry brings a new dimension to the extensive services that we provide at Plant Hope.
